DreamsThis picture to me represents Beatrice's dreams. She had dreams to open a tea shop and that never happened for her, so her dreams were broken. Beatrice has a dream, while sleeping, about her father and in the dreams her father is in a vegetable wagon and appears to be very disappointed to her. Ruth however has actual dreams. She has nightmares about the time when she walked in on Mr. Mayo killing himself. The event caused her to go into a depression and she had a nervous breakdown. The nightmares she has brings on seizures. Tillie has dreams to finish with her discoveries. Tillie finds good in the world and this is what she bases her dreams to come true on.
